Coming UNGLUED
In my culture, the term "unglued" signifies that "we are frustrated or fed up with a situation." Staying true to this meaning, this blog series will provide unfiltered insights into why we’re on the struggle bus when it comes to making professional connections and how we can get locked into achieving the results we desire from all the time, energy, and effort we invest in “building relationships”.
For the past decade, I have concentrated intensely on various aspects of networking. I have participated in numerous discussions and explored different avenues that demonstrate how a business's brand, marketing strategy, and sales systems can be negatively affected by a limited understanding of networking as an art form. When I started my journey into entrepreneurship, my brand, The Official Glue, was often misclassified as a social media company or a software company. Additionally, my job title, Networking Strategist, was frequently misunderstood and labeled as either a brand ambassador or a super connector. These misconceptions arise from the lack of understanding of the art of networking. leading to various assumptions about the brand's reach and impact within my professional circles.
Although I understand the confusion, who’s really taken on the task of telling people they are peopling ineffectively? Well, I did about eight years ago, and today I’ve decided to open up and share the specific triggers that inspired me to create The Official Glue brand and why I’ve coined myself the networking strategist.
Throughout this journey, we’ll dig deep into topics inspired by my real-life conversations, social media posts that I couldn’t help but add my two cents to, and extreme distaste for organized networking.
